Watu Pinawetengan (meaning Dividing Stone) is situated on a hillside of Pinabetengan, a village in Tompaso. Around 1000 BC the first reunion of Minahasan people, descendant of Toar and Lumimuut. Why was it called Dividing Stone, simply because on this stone, the forefathers of Minahasa people divide the land into region of sub-ethnic group. This stone area was also a place for them to have discussions over very important matters as well as the problems among them.

On the stone, we can find scratches of many figures. These figures were believed to be the result of discussions among the sub-ethnic groups. There were some figures of human being, male and female organs, images of leaves and unsymmetrical lines without any significant meaning. Local people believe the form of the stone looks like bowing person as if worshiping God. Also, it has the whole Minahasa land like what you found in the map. The archeologist said this stone had been used by the forefather to discuss.
